Everyone knows who Jordan Peterson is, and he needs no introduction but what about his books? Well, books are as good as Author. Then a simple question needs to be asked — “ Why should you or anyone should read this poorly written book review that can be found anywhere in google or more established websites while paying with precious resource of time and attention??” A very good question for which I have answer in 5 points.

  1. I would love to have your comment and feedback on this article. I am still a beginner.
  2. Google will give you review in a polite and generalised manner which I am pretty sure is not that useful
  3. Books are abstract. The perspective with which the books are written and the perspective with which you are reading are worlds apart. How do you bridge this gap?
  4. I have read almost 50+ non fiction books from biographies to self improvement to sex. Give me 10 min with a book and I can give you the central idea around books is written.
  5. Tell me your problem and I can help you find a book which will help you solve it. Of course there is a limit to which a book or person can help you.

So now what kind of people should read this book and what problems will it help you understand?

  1. The books is NOT for Novice reader. It’s too heavy for those who have just started reading or want to develop habit.
  2. The people who are trying to understand their life better and feel that they don’t understand what’s going on in their life should read it.
  3. People who feel they need to understand relation between feminine and masculine should read this book.
  4. Religious specially Christian people will have a good time with book.

The Problems it will help you solve

  1. As the title of the book says — “12 Rules for Life” . It is a generic book. No specific problem can be solved. It’s more like a guidance rather than a Map. It will help you accept and understand fundamentals of life. Things which you don’t want to accept but need to accept.
  2. Entertainment industry has done a good job screwing up all of our mind. This book is a good Antidote.

Reading Suggestion —

The book may go a little over the head sometimes (maybe it’s just me) but keep patience. The book will definitely add value to your life it terms of understanding.

Thanks for reading and let know in comments what do you think.

I think a lot maybe get too intense. Here to blow off steam, meet some like minded people and above all trying to become famous. (lol no) See I can be funny too
